Great vibe, wonderful menu & attentive help. First time here, everything we ordered was excellent. If i had to find any fault, I wish they had draught beer, but that is a minor complaint. We'll be back!
I was so blown away (and not because hurricane Helene was passing close by)! I'm staying at a nearby resort, and the food here is far and away better (and it costs less)! It's some of the best food I've ever had, and now I'm sad because there isn't one near me. You can taste the fresh ingredients, and the balance of flavors is just perfect! That goes for the drinks too! This place deserves awards, but also, I want it to stay a little undiscovered and accessible . BUT IT SHOULD HAVE ALL THE AWARDS! I need to go back and eat my way through the menu.
Eclectic Asian taco / fusion restaurant. The space has a cool vibe. Plenty of space. Service is quick and attentive. They were willing to make substitutions to the items on their entrees. I had the blackened ribeye tacos and substituted the spicy dill aoli. Beef was tender and full of flavor. They have a regular menu and a handful of daily specials.
The flavors never disappoint. My waitress tonight was so great. I sat on the patio and she never forgot me outside.
Delicious! Came here on a visit to see my parents and the food is so tasty. I had the grilled red fish taco with kimchi (daily special) and the seared tuna taco and cold edamame. Everything was fresh and delicious, especially the grilled red fish. The soft shell of the taco was also great. Kimchi was a nice slightly spicy addition. Staff was also friendly and the restaurant itself is cute inside. A must go!
Dragonfly Foodbar has a rich history in Fairhope, AL! It first opened in September 2010, and after 13 years of business in downtown Fairhope, the owners, Doug and Brie Kerr, decided to move the restaurant to a new location on South Section Street. Dragonfly Foodbar is known for its unique tapas, Asian-inspired dishes, and funky tacos. They also have a new location, Dragonfly Tavern, in Daphne, AL. This funky restaurant offers a unique dining experience with its fusion of Mexican and Asian flavors. They're well-known for their tacos, salads, rice, and noodle bowls, each dish boasting a creative twist. Some menu items can be quite spicy, so don't hesitate to ask your server for recommendations if you're sensitive to heat. They also offer vegetarian, vegan, and kids' options, ensuring there's something for everyone. And, let's not forget their impressive selection of seasonal craft beers and creative cocktails! On our recent visit, we started with the pork Pork Skins and Queso, which is not something I would normally order, but my honey thought it sounded interesting. They were indeed quite good and went well with my craft beer :-) For entrees, I went with the Spicy Shrimp bowl with Fried Basmati Rice, Mushroom, Dill, Jalapeno, and Fried Egg which was very tasty. She had the Spicy Red Curry Coconut Chicken bowl which is Chicken, Jalapeno, Edamame, Asian Pesto, and Udon Noodles which was quite good. Bottom line: The service was excellent, the food was reasonably priced and tasty, and overall was a pleasant dining experience, we'll return. Recommended!! The tempura turnip fries are an absolute MUST! These are some of the best veggies fries I've ever had. We came on a Saturday night, and it was pretty empty, but we waited for service for quite a while after being seated. One waitress was covering all of the tables while other waitresses were closing at 8pm... I didn't like this service. The venue is adorable and kind of tucked away with patio seating out front. Definitely hole in the wall vibes with dark lighting and limited seating. The food was amazing! I don't like how it is served in paper boats, but it just goes along with the venue. Besides the tempura turnip fries, my friend and I each got one taco. She got the firecracker shrimp and I got the pork belly... both were extremely delicious! A great way to fill our bellies before we went out.
